Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme is directed towards MBA graduates who want to further deepen their knowledge within the field of business administration. Consisting of two main parts, the Doctor of Business Administration programme provides participants with interactive learning challenges.
The first part of the Doctor of Business Administration programme is “Directed Learning” and consists of seminars, prescribed readings and written assignments. Aiming to give students the knowledge base required in order to pursue doctoral research it is divided into two main components:

The second part of the Doctor of Business Administration programme is “Research” and is spent on independent research. Once the research is completed it is mandatory to present it as a doctoral thesis. During the research process, Doctor of Business Administration students are guided by a supervisor.

GIBS MBA
The GIBS MBA programme is offered in two different formats; students can choose to pursue either a modular block release MBA or a part time MBA. Both study options stretch over 2 years.
Structured to enable students to apply their knowledge in their work environment, the GIBS MBA is globally relevant and ensures interactive relationships with South African business and corporate leaders. Through classroom lectures, case studies, business simulations, company visits and syndicate projects GIBS highly qualified and international faculty guide GIBS MBA students through their degree.

The GIBS MBA programme is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and ensures graduates to be ready for both local and international careers upon completion.

Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA)  runs over ten months and consists of six modules with two subjects in each module. Covering the same fundamental business principles as the MBA degree, the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration fast-tracks high-potential young graduates into the world of business.
The PDBA combines classroom lectures, case studies, business simulations, business field trips and syndicate projects, giving students a broad understanding of business concepts. Through the duration of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration students will develop their interpersonal and problem solving skills as well as teach them how to manage risks & uncertainty and give them analytical & financial expertise.
